19 Jan - Yuga Labs informed the community that its account with email service provider Mailchimp was compromised in a recent data breach. As a space where phishings were not unfamilar, it emphasised that the Mailchimp account was strictly used for email communications — not NFT mints. [more]
Immunefi banned 15 ChatGPT generated bug reports. Immunefi explained that “there’s a difference between something like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT. With the former, you are driving the process and the role of Copilot is offering useful suggestions in context, which you accept or reject as you write your program. With the latter, you are using a single prompt to generate something that looks like a well-written bug report, but is nonsense when analyzed further.” [more]

Cybersecurity researchers at CyberArk shared that they were able get ChatGPT to create a new strand of polymorphic malware. According to a technical write-up, the malware created using ChatGPT could "easily evade security products and make mitigation cumbersome with very little effort or investment by the adversary".
